Selenite is the transparent colourless crystalline variety of gypsum described as having a moon like glow.

Selenite is named after Selene, the Greek Goddess of the Moon.  In ancient times, it was believed that certain crystals followed the waning and waxing of the moon and this included selenite.

Selenite has a calm and soothing energy that helps to stabilise and balance the emotions and quieten the mind. 

It is a high vibration crystal that protects from physic attack and is excellent for spiritual work and meditation.

When lit up with a tealight, the selenite brings a deep sense of peace and tranquillity.
