Snowflake obsidian is black obsidian with inclusions of a white material (phenocryst) whose appearance when polished resembles a snowflake.

The black of the obsidian and the white of the snowflakes represent the balancing of dark and light and this stone is known to be a bringer of balance between two opposing sides.

In general, obsidian is a very grounding and protective stone. It is used to cleanse and remove negative energies from ones self and from the environment.

Snowflake Obsidian is a calming and soothing stone of purity; balancing the mind, body and spirit.  It helps you to stay centered and focused when any type of chaotic situation arises.

Snowflake obsidian helps you to recognize and release wrong thinking and break those bad habits and negative thought patterns.
